For sugar lift technique.
Indian ink saturated with sugar (icing sugar is advised) is applied onto a well degreased plate. After the drawing is dry, plate is covered with a layer of light ground (thinned with turpentine). When the ground is almost dry, plate is soaked into a clean water tray and the ground lifts by being taken away by sugar.

This Indian ink is made by Lefranc & Bourgeois in the traditional manner from shellac and carbon black.

Available in 250ml glass bottles and 30ml glass dropper bottles.
